Fitness

Alright fashionista’s every year we make a New Year’s resolution to get fit. Of course by now half of us have given up, found excuses not to find time to workout, or just couldn’t find the correct workout clothes. That is where I am here to help. I have tried out various sports apparel and provided you with my five star rating.

When working out ladies must understand two rules: (1) comfort is everything, (2) everybody in the gym only pays attention to you for about 15 seconds, (3) fashion is not the main objective when working out. So when you go to the gym, take off your make-up and fashion forward jewelry and let your workout and clothes speak for themselves.

Sports Bras:
The first bra I tested out comes from Wal-Mart. It is a seamless shelf-bra tank. The bra is made out of a good quality material, absorbs sweat, and is comfortable to wear.  A down fall of this shelf-bra tank is that it stretches out too easily, leaving you with medium to little support for your chest. The overall five-star rating I give this shelf-bra is 3 stars.

The second sports bra that I have tested out comes from Nike. This bra is a Nike Pro Victory Compression sports bra. This sports bra provides high support. The bra is made from a dri-fit jersey that soaks up the sweat living your body dry. The bra provides a great fit and is great for when I play sports such as basketball, soccer, or when I am running. The one negative aspect of this bra is it tends to run small in the various color selections. But regular colors such as black and white run correct to size. The overall five-star rating I give this bra is 4 stars.

The third sports bra that I tested was Under Armour Women’s Endure High-Inpact Sports Bra (D Cup). This bra provides a cris-cross back support with front zipper. The bra is made from Under Armour’s signature HeatGear Moisture Transport System which keeps you dry and cool. Unlike other sports bra this bra provides individually constructed cups to limit motion. The only down side to this bra is it does not provide greater than 40 inch waist on the website. But you can call and order the bra over the phone. Out of my five star rating I give this sports bra a 5.

Tops

Below I have provided various links for my favorite workout tops. The tops range from short sleeve to long sleeve. The main objective when I purchase a shirt is to ensure it is not too clingy to my body, as I want to workout my imperfections; not to allow everybody else to see them, also to ensure great comfort. When running, doing weights, or abs, there is a lot of movement. So I need my body to feel free.

For women of all ages and sizes, I find that I hate when my legs rub and stick together when I am working out, especially when I am running. Below I have provided various spandex shorts and leggings that I have given 4 to 5 stars on. I wear theses spandex shorts under my workout pants. This way, while I am squatting, my backside does not show and when I am doing cardio, I get full range of motion from my legs.
